I'm a stranger to the Douglas family but a very old friend of Pamela Berkeley, now living in Leiden. I've misplaced her last letter, with her most recent address and e-mail, and your blog is the only link to her that Google offers. Could someone let me know her e-mail address, or possibly forward this note to her?
Much obliged,

Hi, glad to see on your webside that you are well and reached the other side. Sent you an email for x-mas but it came back and so we were a little worried.
We are preparing a Calçotada, wouldn't you like to come? We guess not, it sure is nicer were you are. Here it's only 12 C, windy cloudy and rainy. Nice to see the photos, haven't the kid grown... Well, it' been a year.
Good luck with your trip.

Wow, you did it! Congratulations and Happy New Year! Enjoy the blue seas, weather and the remaining European food supplies (we've found the islands a bit tricky food wise too, chicken in usually tasty).
Greetings from the snowy and cold Pyrenees, John & Ute

Barbados! Well done all of you. Your kids are having an amazing upbringing - what an adventure! As Dad Douglas says - it's bl***dy freezing here (only in a nicer way) so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. Glad to hear you're all safe and sound. How do people in Barbados say 'Caribbean' by the way - UK or US style??? Lots of love, Carrie xxxx p.s. post some piccies asap.
Dad Douglas
Congratulations on your transatlantic crossing, internet tells me its 28C in Barbados, it's below zero here and colder in England (-11)
