Check the rubber impeller which drives the water through the engine. If not that, look for a clogged filter

Well congrats on getting the hard bit started, the packing is tiresome, but I guarentee that the thing youthought you wouldn't need will be despretely missed when aboard! After 6 weeks of liveaboard all I can say is good luck and keep smiling! You'll have a ball and just need to focus on these days when things get a little rough.
