I've gone green, in Sydney now, selling eco-friendly electricity over the phone, except no one wants it, which I've learnt is usually the case, but I don't understand, why wouldn't you want to switch over to a company that guarantees a percentage of your home's power comes from a renewable source??! Or maybe it's the seven hour intensive sales training session yesterday, jees these guys are good, I'm turning down carrier bags and realised the selfishness of wanting to become a fighter pilot.
Sorry, that was a short and seemingly pointless journal entry eh? It was going to be longer only, we were told we could go home early, for obvious reasons. Soooo, here I am again. No phone call as yet. I'm holding out for that big sale, the one that's gonna come, the one that'll turn this company around!! In my mind. I'll just be glad to talk to the people outside.
Our hostels damn cool though. It's a purpose built building, in a kinda motel style where every room opens out onto a beautiful courtyard lined with trees, flowers and seating areas surrounding a little swimming pool. Big kitchen, always a plus in these places as people tend to eat at the same time. We sleep in a 6 bed dorm and I'm currently the only female, which isn't as bad as you'd think, I think they'd all agree I am the messy one. There's two scouser lads, two german lads, James and me. We've built quite a friendship with the scousers (Barry and Charlie) and will be sad to see them go next week, although this may open up the door for a friendly female face. James has been looking forward to a girlie pillow fight at some point during our travels!
Well as some of you may know, the Mardi Gras festival is almost upon us, and evidence of this is rife seeing as Newtown along with another suburb are renowned 'gay areas', which is GREAT! Keeps life interesting. They really go all out for it over here, it should be a good couple of weeks!
Shortly after the festivities, preparations will begin for yet another globally unifying celebration. *fanfares sound* My 21st Birthday *fanfares sound triumphantly*. Yes, thats right guys! On march 29th of this year will mark 21 years from that glorious day back in 1986 where the world was changed forever, resulting from my birth. I just wanna say, thank-you to my ma and pa, as without them, none of it would ever have happened! Thank-you, I love you both very much!
Ah, they have asked me to take my break, sitting here on the net can really take it out of you!
Speak soon all, Lots of love xxxxxxx
