Hello again, third entry in eight weeks is just lame I know, but hey, either I must be having too good a time to stop, a lack of routine has bred an uncharacteristic lazyness (ehem.) or, uhh, the internet is still very new here!? I can safetly admit it has been a combination of the two, the first two. Apologies! Anyhoo....I definately began to really enjoy being in India towards the end of our time there. We spent the last couple of weeks travelling south from a tiny weeny island off the coast of Gujurat name Diu, via two oversized dirty cities called Amehdebad and Mumbai, through the state of Goa, which was loverley! People were not in my face the whole day long, which was something I never managed to deal with well and had until then put a real downer on the whole experience. I could relax...finally! The beaches were good on the eye, people were friendly, the air was safe to breathe, weather was at prime tanning temperatures, all in all, a more pleasant time. However, there was no escaping the journey. Backpacks, daypacks, guitars and drums in the kinda heat where you're just wet, we set off from our hotel on the beach in Goa, on the Saturday morning...Caught an overnight train from Goa's capital (Margao) to Bangalore...a spot of lunch...another train - arriving in Chennai at 8:30pm on the sunday. A well deserved rest and a rather posh meal, we departed India Monday evening, on a plane. It wasn't over yet. Just over an hour got us to Columbo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Three or four hours later we boarded another for Singapore. NINE HOURS later, just boarding, for our scheduled destination, Melbourne, Australia. Meh. Only sevenish hours on this flight, it was nothin', we were ol' hands at it now. Now that was a giant journey, and we're not very big, you can see in the pictures. So we here now, have been for a couple of weeks, and it really is a wonderful place. Staying in a rather trendy suburb called St. Kilda, a ten minute tram ride from the centre of Melbourne, in a well equipt hostel (pool table, table tennis, big screen tv etc.), with an array of colourful characters and so so much more to see we're not quite sure what to do first.....so we stay in bed till 2 every day, get up have breakfast/lunch and educate ourselves as to which bars have what happy hours that day....it's great! I haven't got many photos yet, as soon as I do, I'll stick em on. Off to finish a vodka/lime/lemon/soda in a can! 6 for 10 bucks (4 English pounds). Crazy Ozzies. I hope you are all happy and healthy as you can be, Lots and lots of Love, Kini xxxxxxx P.S. Happy Halloween!....I have a number.....0415565993, you may need the international code which is 0061...xxxxxxx
