Donna & Neils Travels
Well, what can we say! We have just had the most awesome few days. Arrived in Puerto Iguazu at 7:00 am to the most horrendous rain and thought,'oh no not again!'
So the first day we just hung around the town until the weather cleared and then took a walk to the Tres Frontieres - where you stand on Argentina bank of the river and look out to Brazil on the right and Paraguay on the left in a fork on the river.
However, the next day we woke up to bright sunshine and made our way to the Argentinian side of the Iguazu falls.
This was a definite highlight of the trip so far, it was absolutely amazing. We have never seen a sight like it before, absolutely took our breaths away. We took a speedboat ride through the rapids and got soaked under two of the falls, which meant we walked around like drowned rats for most of the day, but it didn't matter as the sun was quite hot and dried us off in a couple of hours. The next day we got a bus over to Brazil where you see the huge panoramic view - can't put this into words- just look at the photos! Then to top it all off we went on a helicopter ride over the falls. This was a new experience for both of us even though a little apprehensive at first, the adrenilin soon took over and there we were hundreds of feet above the falls, looking out at the breathtaking views.
Now, back to Buenos Aires to begin our descent down the Atlantic coast.
