Day 28
After our bus journey to Phnom Penh we decided to pay a little extra for a bit more comfort on our 6hour journey to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, and this journey went much more smoothly as we had already aquired our Visas through our hotel in Phnom Penh and the process at the Vietnam boarder was much quicker.
When we arrived at Vietnam we were nearly ripped off by a taxi driver who was going to take us on a 10minute drive to our hotel, which we knew was odd as on our map our hotel was somewhere around the area we were stood, so I took my rucksack out of his boot and decided that we should head over to the travel centre across the road and ask them. They were more than happy to walk us to our hotel which was a 30second walk to a backstreet where our hotel was which is why we couldn't see it from the roadside.
Day 29
The Ben Thanh Market was our first port of call, which is another huge market more for the locals but I did aquire some emerald rings :) soooooo cheap. Then we went for drinks and I had my favourite drink of our travels iced chocolate :) getting my chocolate kick on a daily basis. Lukes seems to be a banana shake :) getting his banana kick on a daily basis also.
Then we headed to the Notre Dame Cathedral and went to the Post office which is HUGE!
After this we went to the Reunification Palace, which is again HUGE and very nice inside many rooms, and most of the rooms downstairs are still old style like when the war took place. This Palace is where Vietnam was liberated in 1975.
Also I found cheetos real cheetos puffs :) we shall be purchasing some of them for our journey to Nha Trang.
After a walk by the river and tea at PIZZA HUT, I mean we had to we've been so good, we retired at the hotel.
