Hi all. We have had a bit more of a relaxing week since our last blog. The pandas were great fun. In the nursery we saw the babies in incubators, the youngsters wrestling and the adults sitting and eating bamboo! Hi everyone We have now completed two overnight train journeys of eleven and eighteen hours to travel from Beijing to Chengdu via Xi'an。 The weather has become gloomy again and we have had quite a bit of rain。We have visited the Teracotta Warriors which were amazing， walked around the biggest Buddha in the world and climbed Mount Emei at just over 3000m but unfortunately we didn't get to see the magnificent views because of the mist。 We have also had so...

This is our last day in Beijing and we've enjoyed two hectic days of sight seeing. On the first day we visited the Temple of Heaven, Tianmen Square and the Forbidden city - lots of temples and very big buildings! Yesterday we climbed the Great Wall (very slowly) which was spectacular. It was interesting to find out that it didn't manage to keep any of the invaders out - they just went around it! Hi all, we are finally in Beijing, and despite a last minute broken bag as we were about to leave (top tip - don't leave it until the taxi's outside to try to zip up a full to bursting bag!), being held up by an accident on the motorway and the only delayed flight from the airport, the long journey was well worth it!
