Mum & Dad D What an eventful time you have had in Bolivia to say the least!!!! Bet you will never complain about the English transport system and roads ever again. It must feel great to be back in the relative civilisation of Argentina. No doubt you will be sampling lots of the local wines which we are sure will be Damian's preferred vintage when you arrive back. Not long now before you come home. Is it the 4th or 5th of June? Mum & Dad J Wow! What a time you're having. Can't wait to see the most recent photos. All sounds very strenuous in one way or another. Also sounds like that programme where you take as many means of transport as possible to get to your destination! Trust you were extra careful 'bobbing down' around cacti, Kate. You certainly don't want another episode of thorns sticking in you! It's OK for the men. BA are on strike so we're off down to Heathrow by train on Friday and staying overnight. Our Boston leg seems to be OK. We've sent our itinery to your e-mail address. Mum & Dad D Hello again What fantastic photos yet again, particularly the fancy dress ones . Have to say Damian they obviously didn't have hats big enough to accommodate the large Dunkley heads!!!! Must agree with all the other comments on the blog that this trip seems the best yet. No idea where you are at the moment, so looking forward to your next message. The good news is we are due to exchange on Aunty M's house today and complete tomorrow but no confirmation so far - fingers and toes are all crossed at the moment. It must be good though to have a group of people around your age to travel with. What a wonderful, if eventful, time you seem to be having. The photos are amazing. Wonder what you'll be wearing on your heads come next winter in Yorkshire?! Love the dressing up clothes. What sort of food was that? Judging by your blogs and photos South America is in line for coming top of your list of favourite places you've visited. The weather here has finally started warming up but the volcano ash is still rearing it's ugly head now and again although on a good note, BA may not be striking next Saturday when we're due to fly to the USA - fingers crossed. Gary & Steph Wow! I think I'm more envious of this leg than the others. Looks like you're having a fantastic time in an incredible place. I have to say though that the photos from Lake Titicaca really are the icing on the cake. If you don't start dressing in those new outfits on your return, what a missed opportunity that would be - you'd be the talk of Luddendenfoot. Mum & Dad J Ouch!! What are you like Kate! Not sure about all those skulls. Watch out they don't want to add to the collection! The walk sounds excruciating. I doubt we'd be up to it. Mum & Dad D Well done both of you!!! The walk is obviously not for the faint hearted. Feel exhausted just thinking about it but what a fantastic experience it must have been. Hopefully Kate had recovered from her falls by the time the expedition began! No doubt you will now be enjoying a more relaxing time. The volcano in Iceland has started erupting again and is disrupting flights once more. According to the news today it seems to be affecting Europe more than England at the moment and flights over the Atlantic. Aunty Pat & Uncle Michael are due to fly here from Cyprus today so they may have a problem and our next door neighbours are due to fly home form the Canaries tomorrow. Fingers crossed we will make it to Portugal in June. Dan and Soo have booked a week in Portugal whilst we are there but not in the same place. No doubt we will get together at some point. Mum & Dad D Pleased to hear you have now sucessfully joined up with the tour group after your bus journey. Have to say it all sounds amazing and very interesting - looking forward to seeing the latest photos. Dan and Soo are in London for a long weekend seeing Nick etc. Apparently Nick had arranged some meetings yesterday for Daniel with the football magazine people, so hopefully he will be getting more photography work with them!
