Hello again, so what did I do on day 2. Well I didn't get up till midday!. I was drinking with the 2 David's that I met the day before till midnight!. Not a wise idea!. But what the heck!. So my objectives for the day were to buy a hat (to save me from the worst sun burn ever), buy a phone (my number again is 61488711809). For those who are interested, I got a Nokia 6070. Nice little phone and only 40 english pounds (sorry but this bit is boring!). For your info, its as hard to get through Oz mobile phone call centres as in the Uk (sorry boring again). After shopping I took a stroll through Darwin to get my barrings and to find where everything is. I was given a map of Darwin when I checked in the YHA, so followed the directions to the nearby Cullem Harbour. It was so hot that I had to keep stopping at the local shops to buy water. Word of advice, don't visit Oz in the wet season!. Took a stroll around the harbour and onto the beach. The first thing that greets you when walk onto the beach is a great big warning sign which tells you the dangers of the Box Jellyfish, which are in abundance at the moment. Apparently one sting from these beasts and your a goner!. The weird thing is that if you get stung, vinegar is suppose to be applied to the wound. You randomly see huge bottles of vinegar situated on the beach. Had a meal in the harbour and then watched the sun go down, which was amazing!
