I was sitting in the hostel in chiang mai talking to alex on Facebook, one of the guys who left to go to Laos with all the others, I felt really lost and alone without them all. This was at 5.30pm; there was a bus to laos at 6pm. I decided spontaneously to book it and meet up with them all. The reason I didn't go with them in the first place was because I was meant to be going to laos with Harriet but she was talking to me in the afternoon saying how she didnt have any money so she wasn't sure if she would be able to come. I didn't want to pressure her and stress her out over money so I told her that I was going to Laos to meet the others. I have a flight booked from KL to Laos in may which I am going to try and sell on eBay. I don't really want to come back to Laos; it's a beautiful place but there isn't much to do here apart from go tubing. For those of you who don't know what tubing is, it's a load of bars which have been plonked along a 3km stretch of the river. When I say bars, they are more like wooden treehuts! ... Tubing is really great fun though, you get free shots in every bar, good tunes banging out and zipwires where u can jump into the river. It's called tubing because u can float down the river in a rubber ring going from bar to bar. We found that it was more fun to swim across though. People throw out plastic bottles attached to a rope where u can hold on and they pull u in if ur not a good swimmer. I was a bit tipsy and stupidly got my purse stolen! ... We were playing football and I was in goal so I put my purse down by the goalposts and then when we switched halves I forgot that my purse was there. I went back at the end of the game to get it and it was gone!! It had my debit card, credit card and everything in!! Callum took me back to our hostel whilst everyone else was still partying, so that I could phone my bank and cancel my cards. Matt looked for ages in the sand where we were playing football just incase it got buried but it wasn't there :-(
I started crying cos things always seem worse than they are when ur drunk. It was fine though; I cancelled my cards and skyped my dad. He managed to wire money into callum's bank account.
Yesterday I just chilled with callum and Teresa whilst the others all went tubing again. Today we spent the day at the blue lagoon and then went for a massage, which really hurt at the time as they do it really hard but now I feel good! We are all going out tonight for the last supper before everyone goes their own way. I don't know what the two alex's are doing but I think Liam and Chris are going to Cambodia then hitting the Thai islands. Jarv is going to the 4000 islands, which would have been nice. Have no idea what Jon is doing.
