This city is a shocker once you enter the area! I thought, well had impressions of a clean. modern city. The opposite in all ways! If you have been to India you will understand what am saying...!
The place is full and heeving of people and a total mess from Singapore. We were staying at the Swizz Inn Hotel in central Chinatown. This is a nice hotel and a relief away from the busy human traffice just steps away from the entrance doors. There's some really good places to eat near to the hotel and its situated close to the night market! If you've never haggled for anything before this is a good place to learn. You will find everything from Designer bags to shoes here.
On the first day of reaching the city we divided ourselves as people wanted to do different things. Myself and Rachel (from the tour group) decided the test out the KL public rail transport links! They are good and especially the Monorail is frequent and air-conditioned. Not many locals use the Monorail, unlike the other LRT is jam packed on all carriages!
Malaysia has the biggest Flagpole @ Independence Square, many Mosques in all areas to visit but you have to wear the right clothes or you can't get in...
Everything is best seen by walking from the metro stations. I didn't realise that the KL tower was such a climb up a hill!!!!
