Today has been the free day of the tour. After what seemed like an extremely long journey from kuala Khangsar to Geaogetown, Penang yesterday i was very tired. The couldn't have gone any worse! My bags weighed a tonne, it was raining throughout the coach trip and some plonker from the back of the coach decided to leave the bottle water open and so, my entire rucksack was wet! Absolute nightmare of a day and Penang was raining... After the rain stopped later in the day, we all went on a walking tour of the city...

Beware to all travellers coming to Penang Sundays are exactly like home cities in the UK except worser. The British Colonial system left behind the idea of resting sundays, therefore almost everything in Penang is like a ghost town with hardly anything open!!!

Nevertheless, the shopping malls are open. But if you've been to the bigger cities such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore than the malls here are nothing...
