Finally arriving into Singapore feels like a relief, truely! I stayed at the YMCA hostel in Singapore.... Highly noe recommended to the lone ranger traveller! I got talking to a fellow resident of the hotel and decided to go on a city tour to Santosa island.... This was the best part of the city, truely... If ever anyone goes to Singapore you must go here... Theres cable cars going from the mainland to Santosa, a sky tower to see the surrounding areas, you can also go up the Merlion, find out about the history of Singapore and there's a BEACH with lovely warm turquoise water and sandy beach...! it's a must, trust me...
Later that eveing i went on a Night Safari tour with RMG tours, this is also a must thing to do... Beware flash photography is not allowed so take a really good camera with you! If you haven't been to Africa then you should definately go, as the Safari has animals from across the world and many from south-east asia...
The next day i went on an organised city tyour again with RMG Tours. our guide Joey was great... She explained the history of Singapore and being a Singaporean herself was able to give an insight into the life of Singapore's mixed cultural life. On the tour I got to visit Little India, China Town, Harbourfront and of course the Orchid Garden @ the Botanical Gardens. It only takes upto 4 hours, but its well worth doing especially if your only in Singapore for a day.
Later that day (30/09/2007) i went to meet the tour group for the Intrepid trip in Chinatown... Please do NOT stay @ the Royal Peacock Hotel it has no windows in the rooms!!!
