After yesterday's walking tracks, today's road journey is taking us further into the southern alps, through places such as Pleasant Flat, and the Gates of Haast - sort of a natural river flow control passed the town of... Haast of course, made up essentially of fallen rocks of the surrounding mounts.
Just catching sight of the top of lake Wanaka, very impressive as we drive around it's east side, whilst cloudy there's still a very distinctive reflection of the sirrounding green hills etc in the very blue water!
Before reaching town, we stopped at "a puzzling world", attraction created by an illusionist which features amongst others a big maze as well as some puzzleeooms - and even puzzles on the tables in te café! The tilted room was quite challenging to get to grips with, i.e. for example if you're standing on a sloped floor down towards the right, and you place a table that tilts down towards the left, in abslotute terms that table may actually be on an upward slope!
Confusing? Probably would have been easier to explain with a picture. Check it out here: http://www.puzzlingworld.co.nz.
