Christmas was very different this year! - I was surprised to see Christmas decorations and activities but they were not overwhelming - I had Cmas breakfast and short Cmas service with some friends and then stayed with some other friends for the rest of the day, I even had a stocking! - we had chinese BarBQ duck, roast potatoes and various veg, apple crumble, pumpkin pie, cake and mince pies!!! washed down with mullled wine and white wine - the day ended in a riotous game of UNO - for the rest of the country it was just another day business as usual, you could still do your Cmas shopping on Cmas day!

On Boxing day we headed south to Kep and Rabbit Island so tranquil and beautiful - it felt as if I was in a dream part of me coudn't believe that I was half way around the world in this beautiful place. It was a 20 minute boat ride from the mainland. There were beach huts if you wanted to stay on the island, (we didn't) only 2 small restaurants and lots of animals - dogs, chickens, pigs, cows!

There are 100's of little islands around the coast but most of them have been given away by the prime minister to Vietnam which is a shame
