Blog Getting a Package
For anyone who has ever been away from home, getting a package is like winning the lottery and Christmas rolled into one. Today I got maybe the best package yet. It's not because it costs a fortune (because it did) but because a package is just so personal. It contains things just for you and matched perfectly to your own tastes. Yes, you can always request things and make a list of things you want. But when the package finally comes it is always unique and made up by people who not only love you but who know you, so the package contains things that you didn't know you wanted but end up liking very much. You end up getting really useful things and healthy things. I think I have enough protein powder and exercise recovery goos and bars that I'll be set until the end of the summer.
The really cool thing when you get a package is that it is full of useful stuff. And this is where my family should win an award. I get things that I didn't know existed. I asked for protein drinks and I got organic full nutrition plant based powdered meals. I asked for Neosporin and I got a to-go sized easy application cartridge style Neosporin dispenser. I asked for work out recovery gels and I got the best flavors of "GU" and cliff bar protein bites. (Talk about preparing me for some long hikes at high altitude). And I asked for sunscreen and they sent two kinds (cream and a stick, both chemical free) of 45 protection sunscreen with two bottles of aloe vera gel just in case I get some serious Himalayan sun. It doesn't get any better than that.
It makes me feel like I have my own personal support team. And even though they are half way around the world (literally) I get the best support money can buy (literally) in the way of USPS packages. I so love you mom and dad.
