Dream blog 2
Last night I had another particularly vivid dream. I was sitting at a table in a Tibetan style room talking with a Tibetan friend when he asked me my Tibetan name. As I responded a monk was walking past the doorway of the room we were sitting in and overhead our conversation. The monk then came into the room and asked me again what my name was as if to confirm something he was thinking or just couldn't believe. As I repeated the answer he then looked directly into my face (especially into my eyes) as if he was reading something that was inside my head. The next thing I remember I was at a monastery surrounded by monks. I don't know if it was ever said during the dream but by the time I had reached the monastery I was aware that I had been recognized as a "Tulku" or a reincarnate of someone important in the Buddhist religion. The next thing I remember was feeling uncomfortable because the monks that were surrounding me were now prostrating or bowing at my feet. The dream ended there and I either awoke from the sound of my alarm clock or in my sleep I slipped out of the dream as quickly as I had slipped into it. I don't know why I had this dream because I wasn't thinking about anything religious or reincarnation related. But I did have a particularly stressful evening that night before I went to sleep and this could have induced some kind of desire to be feel special or more special than I was feeling at the time I went to bed.
