wehave been staying at a very nice place in Taupo for a couple of nights , the girls doing at bit of shopping whilst Ian and I played a round of golf. not picked clubs up for five years and have had 2 eye operations and ian still thrashed me but good fun. lots of swimming, walking, eating and drinking. we saw a thermal electric plant also the the dam for the hydro electric plant being opened, never seen water rush like it. walked around a place called craters on the moon, which is a good description as the steam just blows thro the rocks. we are now in wellington,Ian and Kathy are making their way back up to Auckland but we will meet up again in 2 weeks after we have gone around the south island
