My last day in Salzburg ! I couldn't figure out if I wanted to go white water rafting or visit the salt caves. Salt caves won by default because apparently I needed a group to go rafting:( o well.
The salt caves were pretty cool and interesting. We traveled to a little mountain town in Germany and these mountain were amazing! I couldn't get a good picture because we were in a tour bus. I met these girls from Australia and new Zealand . They were pretty cool.
When we arrived to our destination they gave us these cool looking onesies. They kind of looked like an air force uniforms. On the start of the tour we got to ride this cute little train. The best part of the whole tour started with these wooden slides ! I wish We could've taken pictures because they were so much fun!
It was interesting because it takes about a good 30+ years to salt mine. The other highlight was going through the salt cave lake. It was breathtaking. The water was crystal clear and when we took a little boat ride across the lake, they had disneyland status light display with complimentary music. It was not as good as disneyland obviously, but it was pretty amazing. At the end of the lake they let us sample the water. Yuck!!!! It was saltier than the ocean. I thought I was going to dry up and age four years!
All in all it was an interesting tour. I of course decided to have some local beer in berstgadin Germany . It was pretty good. The beer here is a lot stronger than at home though so one was enough.
My last night try decided to ply the sound of music in the lobby. It was cool watching it because all I could think of was"i've been there!" that was a highlight in life because I've always wanted to see "the sound of music" and I did it! 6 year old Bucketlist check! Chee!
And thank you shared hostel kitchen for letting me meet and listen to a few people from around the world to swap stories and give pointers. That was fun! Also, honorable mention goes to the two Austrian boys. One of which gave me the funniest pick up line ever. I think it might have been a lost in translation type of thing, but I dont get offended that easy. Lol!
