Hey,
Its our last full day in Adelaide today so I think with us not knowing where we'll be tomorrow, its right to let you know what we've been up to since I was last on. Aaaah, we best work out what we're gonna be doing! Last Friday, we managed to locate an outside swimming pool and it we probably chose the best day to go to one! It was close to 40 degrees...now thats HOT! I did also manage to put in a few lengths but it was only a few. More than three, no more than four. The swimming pool was huge though, no wonder those Aussies clean up at the Olympics all the time :-). But it was cool just to lay back and just chill with no worries. After a few hours of sizzling in that sun, we went to finally go and see Borat. At last, I now understand the message! Whoever sent it? We did venture out on Friday 2, it was a good night thats all I'm saying :-). And so was Saturday come to think of it lol. On Friday, we went to the usual hot-spots and after a few hours I had lost both Roomy and Milsy. I found them (well Roomy) later on in 'The Pier' but Milsy was now the man 'Missing In Action'. The last sighting of the poor lad (according to Roomy) was him stumbling into the toilet. Too many glasses of wine! But luckily the whole room did get woken up by him later on when he wasn't feeling his best (in the room!) lol. And again it was another night out that I didn't spend hardly any money...I wouldn't say Im a lightweight but Im sure the boys here and back home may think different! We didn't do anything interesting on Saturday, well I can't think of anything we did so it must have been the ultimate of lazy days. But I suppose at least we didn't spend any money (until the evening lol). Me and Roomy went out into Adelaide, just to see what all the fuss what about. We'd all been told it was the place to be (apparantely). Milsy decided to stay in Glenelg and go to the cinema (I think he was still nursing a larger than life hangover). So off we went to a Bar but after meeting with a few other friends, it was pretty average. But at least we've experienced it! On Sunday, all I can remember is watching Tottenham destroy Charlton 5-1 (Our seasons over Mr Douglas...I don't think so Pal!) and enjoy a lovely FREE BBQ at our hostel. Hmmm I can still taste the burgers and that Salad! lol Salad...maybe not! We were planning to go to Mclaren Vale on Monday so we caught up on some much needed sleep. And also (I nearly forgot) but Mr Millington gave my hair a little trim. All he had were some clippers we found in Melbourne and a set of nail scissors!! It must have taken a good hour but I was more than happy with the final result. Plus it was free, but cheers Milsy. Maybe a career in hairdressing awaits you on your return! lol.
Scott and Belinda had earlier told us that we must go to Mclaren Vale as its a really famous region for wine growing. But to be honest I didn't have much knowledge on wine at all...apart from on a night out if I want to get drunk quicker than normal to get my paws on some cheap wine :-)! But after Monday I now know the hype that surrounds wine! So off we went in Abi for about 40kms to get to Mclaren Vale (and we did get lost a few times). We bowled up to the Tourist Information Centre and got a map of all the Vineyards, so off we went on our little tour. We also stopped off at a place called the Chocolate Box (oh yes we definately took advantage of the free tasting there). But I think the owner knew what we were up to, seeing as all that chocolate that was out to be nibbled on was soon disapearring! We went to a few more Vineyards and by this time with no breakkie inside me I was starting to feel the effects so Roomy took over (he can handle his drink...so he tells me!) So after more Q&A time with the Wine people we headed back to Glenelg and I was really tired after all that wine. I think I'm turning into my Dad...falling asleep on the couch after a few drinks. Noooooo! Last night we watched a programme called 'An Aussie Goes Barmy' and we were hoping to see ourselves, seeing as we were next to him on occassions at the Adelaide Test. But I reckon I saw my finger and maybe my ear...but thats it! Cheers FOX TV. And thats it, we're all getting our stuff sorted now for the road trip tomorrow. But its Roomy's Birthday tomorrow so we might celebrate that tonight, but only with a few OJ's. I cant believe he's going to be 24! Or was it 26 ;-). I hope everyone is OK and I hope you all have a good Xmas! I am on occassions missing Ballare with the boys (oh yeah and the Family lol) Take Care Byeeee
