Hello everyone!! I arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday and since we left Phuket, its been a bit hectic. We set Roomy's alarm for 8am yesterday morning and getting up wasn't easy seeing as we got back in at 3.30am. What was suppose to be a 'lets go out one last time and just have a few' turned into one bad headache in the morning. I woke up feeling as bad as the morning after my leaving do...now that was a messy night! I wasn't a pretty sight yesterday morning (not that I ever am!!) We went to the usual tourist spots, attacking those Australian and Irish Bars! After those fine establishments, we got lured into a 'Dragon Bar' which is basically a sleazier version of Spearmint Rhino. Any Good! (we had to do it one last time) Then after that excitement we ventured down the long bar street looking for a bar/club where you didn't need to pay to get in (basically we were broke) but we still wanted to work on our dance moves! Result...we found FBI Club. The only problem was that it was full of local thais and/with their old american 'partners'. But we didnt care, we got on that dancefloor and soaked it all up one last time! Go on the English!
In the morning, we decided to have one last subway (even though I was feeling pretty dodgy) but you cant go worng with a Tuna Sub of the Day!! Subway in Phuket was like a second home to us. For something that will fill you up for under a pound, your laughing! We had a transfer to the airport via a mini bus. In Phuket, they do struggle with maintaining their roads, so getting from our Guest House to the Airport was like driving off-road and with a dodgy stomach plus tuna I did well to keep it all in lol. When we arrived at the airport, everything was going so swimmingly so something had to go wrong!! Yep...it certainly did! Well for me anyway. To leave the airport, every international traveller has to pay a 500 Baht leaving charge. Roomy and Milsy luckily had 500 left each. But me being me decided to flutter my money away...I only had 90 Baht left (so it looked like I wasn't going anywhere). After lots of digging I found a battered and slightly ripped 5 pound note in my bag but I was still 40 Baht short. But Milsy rescued the day...cheers pal! The plane journey was interesting, we had very bad turbulance and I'm not the best of flyers! I was holding on to the arm rests very tightly...I definately had some greasy juniors after that..
But finally after surviving the bumpy journey we touched down in Kuala Lumpur! And after a long coach ride into the centre of Kuala Lumpur (which was the scene of me and Roomy playing some games with a legendary youngster in the seat in front) Well we kept making her laugh...don't think her Dad was too impressed. We're staying at a hostel called 'Equator'. We're paying just under four pound fifty a night (and you get breakkie and tea/coffee free all day) I had my first cup of coffee today (brewed by Mr Milsy) and to my shock...it was awesome! We just relaxed last night in the hostel (watching some good old TV) and getting to know the other guests.
We woke up this morning with a mission to check out all the attractions...and sitting here now my feet are absolutely killing! I feel like we've walked the marathon twice over! We visited the KL Tower, the Pertronas Tower, the Aquaria (to see Jaws) aaaah! and then to the National Museum which at the time we thought was a great idea. But after we left...we remembered that Museums are very boring. But I guess we can say we've been there, even though it wasn't very memorable. Im currently using Roomys Camera to take pictures so will hopefully get them on tonight (I had a situation involving my camera and many grains of sand...but I wasn't drunk when the camera decided to play with the sand, well maybe I was!) It was a carbon copy incident when I dropped my brand new phone into my pint on my leaving do. We're just gonna watch the footy tonight...hope everyones ok. Speak soon
