Hi D Auntie,
I'm glad you blogged as we were getting worried that we hadn't heard from you!! Glad to hear that you are safe and enjoying the lovely weather.
Weather in the UK is poo - has been raining all day...week..
Mum's waiting for you to pick her up on Friday to take her to Bhabi Mamani's for Eid. I keep telling her that she might be waiting a while... maybe next eid... at least she will have plenty of time to get ready!
... and Bhabi mamani - chicken biryani huh - mum must have forgotten to tell us:)
Hope your eating ok, what's the food like in Sri Lanka, is it anything like home food? And have you had a chance to do any cooking or gardening yet?
Keep safe, we all miss you, so please put some more pictures on as we would like to see you.
Aliya xx
P.S. QVC has now gone in to liquidation.

14 kids man - typo, am allowed as I'm getting older. Having terrible weather here, you may have heard. Severe flood warnings in quite a few place, but alhamdullilah we're all ok. Have just made chicken biryani - bet you're missing the food and am now off to Hounslow to do some shopping but looking at the weather may have to think twice about that as it is chucking down.
Waiting for the photos of sri lanka, sounds good so far. Have you got a favourite at the orphanage yet? Will try and phone you as I know you phoned and was gutted that we missed you.
Take care and salaams
Speak soon.
PS: Eid on Friday so might phone you then if I can find the cheap acces no.

Ass-salam-ualikum honey
Great to read your blog now that we have returned from hols. Really interesting. Apart from the ants and manic traffic I hope you are happy and well. Will send you some emails as well as the messages here (if you have time to read everything, sounds like you are very busy but maybe your next destination will give you more free time) and the internet connection will hopefully be quicker for you. Don't forget, just stick to the fruit and veg like we did in India and leave those ants alone. They haven't done anything to you! And watch the roads, are they reallly worse than India and Rome??
Love ya. Be safe, inshallah. Jubby xxxxxxxxxxxx ps, thank you for the card good friend.
Hi everyone, thank you so much to each one of you for the lovely messages.
There are two Internet Cafes in Yakkala (place I'm staying), but the speed is sooooooo sloooooooooooooow that there is not way I'm spending two hours plus updating my blog. Please bear with me and I will update it as soon as I can. I'm struggling with the keyboard too as they keys are in English & Sinalese. Pictures may take longer to appear as the connection is very very very slow.
Saida - where have you got 14 kids back home?? At my last count I have 10 nieces and 3 nephews !!
Carolyn - After I finish at the orphanage, I will be staying at Mount Lavina hotel for 3 nights and am really looking forward to it - you'll understand why when I update the blog !
Claire & Mark - I've got just the girl for you. She is always smiling, nothing seems to bother her. You'll see from the pictures once I download them !
Keep the messages coming.
Missing you all - but not the weather ! Having said that we had 2 full days of torrential rain, but I guess that's better than what you've had back home - love ya !
