Ever since the Tsunami in 2004, I've wanted to help the countries which were impacted by the huge tidal wave. So when I qualified for my six month sabatical, I looked into orphanage support in Sri Lanka. This investigation lead me to an organisation called "Gap Year for Grown Ups" and after numberous conversations, not only did I sign up for a one month in Sri Lanka, I ended up with a one way ticket round the world.
