Study Trip Itinerary

11 November - I leave Brisbane airport at some ridiculous hour in the morning and get to Singapore later that morning. Will be remembering my late Dad, L/Sgt Reg Pohlmann (hopefully at a Remembrance Day Ceremony) there. Staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

12 November - travelling to Dubai next morning and staying at the Golden Sands Hotel.

13 November - It's my eldest son Ben's 28th birthday - it's also the day I travel to London. Hopefully I will be staying in Surrey close to my friends Paul & Barb. I look forward to spending some time with them and seeing a bit of the local attractions.

16 November - I will be taking a train from London up to Hollyhead, Wales where I'll be taking a ferry to Dublin. In Dublin I will be staying at the retreat centre attached to the Redemptoristine Monastery http://www.rednuns.com/ .

19 November - I will be interacting with some chaplaincy students at the Mater Dei Institute of Education in Dublin on that Saturday. At Mater Dei, school chaplains are able to undertake an MA in School Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care http://www.educationireland.ie/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=216&Itemid=100045.

During my stay in Ireland I will be meeting and having conversations with Institute staff and students - hopefully visiting students in their practicum placements around Ireland.

23-25 November - I will be attending the School Chaplains Association of Ireland Conference 2011 http://www.schoolchaplains.ie/schoolchaplains/Main/News.htm at Portlaoise Heritage Hotel

29 November - I'll be travelling by train up to Belfast to visit a friend Kim and her husband.

1 December - I begin to retrace my journey back home. Travelling via Manchester I fly back to Dubai.

2 December - I fly from Dubai back to Singapore.

3 December - I fly back from Singapore to the land of Oz.

4 December - I arrive back at Brisbane airport at some other ridiculous hour in the morning.
