Didn't have the best sleep last night...when I did rouse myself I was collected from my lodgings to visit a Dominican high school. There I met Sr Susie the chaplain at the school and spent the morning work-shadowing and chatting with her. It was a good opportunity to see a chaplain operating in a Catholic school. Also had the chance to chat with a few staff...afterwards Sr Susie dropped me back to Mater Dei, so I ended up missing the 20min walk back (can't win 'em all, eh?).
On my return I had lunch and prepared my lecture for tomorrow night on RE in Australia. I then attended 3 lectures:
1) Non-verbal communication for chaplains
2) A lecture from 2 practicing uni chaplains on their work
3) a theology of ministry class - on cooperative ministry
It was a 12 hour day - left here at 8:30am and left Mater Dei for the 5 min walk back to my lodgings at 8:30pm. The walk back was very cold but my room is toasty warm!!
