Apples are great. Beautiful Californian Granny Smiths at a very cheap price. But we probably won't be allowed to take any back into California. Had better get munching.
As for the other apple. Blow the fact that the new iPhone will add half a per cent to the US GDP. The associated iOS 6 download on my iPad means that my blog app doesn't work, so I am having to do this the hard way via the back door. Any bets on an app update the day we fly home?
You can only take so many hoodoos, so the Day 2 Bryce photos include one of the other side of the street from us in Panguitch. One of the row is a steak-house where you can buy a 16 oz steak, but most are 20 or 24 ounces. Needless to say we have eaten at the other restaurant in town, which has a salad bar and the fish is good. Got to like Panguitch. Apart from being suitably sleepy it has a number of red brick houses - said to be unique around here.
As for today's hike, for those for whom it means anything it was The Queen's Garden, the very up and down Peekaboo Loop and the Navajo Trail - not one for couch potatoes.
A long drive to Fallon (somewhere in the Nevada desert) tomorrow and then on to Lake Tahoe on Sunday. So don't expect too much blogging activity over the next couple of days.
