Well we've left Perth and begun the journey up North. The weather in Perth When we left was warm. But the further North we're reaching, the HOTTER its becoming.
We've decided we need to start saving some money, so we bought a book on free camping in WA. Its a great help, although some of the stopover places it suggests are a little scarey, and its taking me a while to ajust to 'bush camping'. No showers, no toilets, no water, and sleeping to the lovely sound on road trains and crickets, oh its just heaven...! So anyway, we continued on to our first major stop which was The Pinnacles. They were quite something, a real natural wonder of the world!
Our next big stop was Monkey Mia. I saw Dolphins for the first time and thought it was great. They came right up to our legs, however you're not allowed to touch them! The views around this area are all beautiful. We slept in a secluded area next to a river flowing just from the beach. The area was compact sand and there wasnt really anything else. Just us, the moon and the stars .. and those damn crickets again! ALthough it sounds all wonderful and all, Dave was more scared of someone coming to find us and kill us.. thanks Dave, really helps me sleep at night!
So, on we go, next stop: Coral Bay. As you can see from the picture, its beautiful. We went snorkelling and it was great. It has Australia's second biggest Coral Reef.. Ningaloo Reef. We got to swim with heaps of fish, and few too large for my liking!
After Coral Bay, we headed inland towards Karijini. Another night in the Bush with the crickets and Mozzies, and we made it. Unfortunatley you need a 4WD to get to the best parts, but we saw what we could and i thought it was amazing. We climbed down some rocks and came across a gorgeous waterfall and pool. So we went for a dip. I've never seen a real natural pool like this before so i thouroughly enjoyed it.
After Karijini, we continued on and back to the coast to find Broome.
