Hey,
Sorry haven't written what we have done in a while, thought as we had now put the pictures on finally that I would tell you what we've been up to.
The day after our last entry we went to a pub in Nelspruit called the Keg & Jock. Simon had told Darren about a challenge you can do there to get your name on the wall. It is called the Around the World challenge and you have to drink 20 beers from around the world. If you do this in one day you are put on the wall as a Lord!!!! Well we only had one day left so Dal had to do this in a day but he would of anyway. He started at around 12pm and finished around 5.30pm, surfice to say he was pretty drunk but not as bad as I thought he would be. We had brunch and dinner there so that was a good idea. The next day we were getting picked up to go on safari which we were both really looking forward to. You think Dal would of past out when we got home but no he decided to stay awake and annoy me while I packed and then got in the bath with his clothes on like a div so had to find a bag to put his wet clothes in as they wouldn't be dry.  As you can imagine I was very happy about this but you can't stay annoyed with him for long with his soppy face can you!!!!!!!!
Next day we got picked up at around 11am for our transfer to the Kruger, it is only around an hour from Nelspruit where we were staying which was good, some of the others had come from Joburg which was around 5 or 6 hours. When we arrived at our camp it was just after 1 and we had a briefing for what we would be doing for the 4 days. As you know we were staying in tents which I thought was going to be really scary but it wasn't to bad we had beds which were really comfy and it was quite secure (no insects). We went on our first drive at 4pm, it was called a sunset downer as you watch the sunset and have drinks. On the way to the site to watch the sunset our guide told us loads of information on plants, trees, insects and other things, it was quite interesting when he told us once but after 3 or 4 times it got abit boring. We saw a huge dung beetle as you can see from the pics and also so buffalo aswell. Once we had seen the sunset in the pics aswell we had a few hours night drive. I was looking forward to this as I thought we would see some animals but all we saw was some cat like thing in a tree and an impala!!!! Anyway our drive finished at 8pm and we went back to the camp for dinner. Dinner was really nice, there were a few other groups at the camp and we met some nice american ladies they were quite funny. We headed to bed at around 10pm as we had to be up at 5am the next morning for breakfast before we went on our full day safari. 5am we got our wake up call and had to be up at the main tent for tea and coffee and be ready to leave at 6am for the safari. We drove in through the Numbi gate and we were in the park. The first thing we saw was a white Rhino he was to far away to get a good picture though. We drove further down the road and we saw lots of Impala and other types of antelope. We then saw lots of cars sitting around an area so knew somthing was there. As we got closer there were three cheetas taking a stroll. They are usually quite hard to find but they came really slow as you can see from the pictures. When we left there further down the road there were lions, you could only see their heads though as the grass was really long. They had killed a buffalo which was right near the road and it looked like they were waiting to eat some more but therer were alot of cars so they wouldn't come out. Anyway we got some video of this as on the camera you couldn't see anything so you'll see when we get home. I'm sure your bored of every little detail about the safari so i'll just tell you what we saw not our every move!!! We saw elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, wildebeast, monkeys, cocodiles, lots of white rhinos and lots of birds but couldn't tell you what they were. We finished our drive at about 4.30pm and had another night drive at 6pm. Well we wish we hadn't bothered with the night drive as the area we were in didn't seem to have much animal life!!!  Our driver claimed that he saw a spotted hyena but nobody else saw it so think he made it up. After our unsuccessful night drive we came back for dinner at 8pm. They had the outside tables set up around a bonfire where we ate our dinner. After dinner we got some drinks and went back to our tent as we were both so tired from getting up so early. I didn't feel to good either but feel asleep anyway, only to wake up at about 3am feeling really sick. I could hear people outside and someone was throwing up so i got up with the tourch and went to the toilet. I was really ill and then came back to the tent and feel asleep after about an hour.  Our wake up call was at 5am again and I still felt awful but got up and got ready anyway. We had a bush walk that morning but only 4 out of our group made it as they had all been ill like me.  Still feeling ruff but soldiering on I went on the walk and I thought I was gonna pass out but still did it. We got back at 8am and were leaving for the panorama route at 9am which I was really looking forward to 5 hours in bus!!!!! I was still being ill on the drive but started to feel a little better. We visited the Blyde River Canyon and God's Window. Finally we arrived at the logde we would be staying in over night, we thought it was going to be a dive but compared to anything else we had stayed in this was 5*. It was next to the Jane Goddall Chimp Sanctuary where we would be going the next day. As soon as we got there I laid in bed and watch TV and Dal went on the internet. In the evening I couldn't be bothered to get up so we got room service a 3 course meal which was really nice but I couldn't appreciate it as I still felt abit ruff. Next day we had a briefing at 7.30am to meet some of the chimps and they are strong as one called abou through a boulder at us!!!!!!! We then went and had breakfast which again was really nice then chilled out until the main tour which was at 10am. We had the tour which was really interesting and explained the history of the sanctuary and what its purpose was. At 1pm it was time for us to leave the luxury of the lodge on our way to Joburg.Â
We arrived at around 6pm and the place we stayed in was anything but luxury especially after where we had stayed the night before. Anyway we had two nights there before we flew out to Thailand so we put up with it. The first night we didn't do much but the next day we went to a shopping mall and had food and tried to sort out our E-tickets for our flight as we still hadn't recieved them!! I was having abit of a heart attack but Dal didn't mind as he didn't really wanna fly anyway!!! Anyway after help from both our mums we finally sorted them out but I still wasn't going to be happy until I had checked in the next day. We got back to our room and I freaked out again as the pocket of my bag was full of ants as I had left sweets in there. I nearly cried and Dal had to sort it out for me (my knight in shining armour!!!). After this I was ok again but felt itching all night. We ordered a pizza and booked our transfer to the airport at 10am. We got to the airport and didn't have to wait long before we checked in and everything was ok, I was very relieved and Dal wasn't!!!!! We sat and had some food and Dal had some drinks for courage and then we made some calls home to use our phonecards before we left sunny SA. We boarded at about 2.15pm and had a bit of a delay but wasn't to bad. Emirates was a really nice airline very comfortable and lots of movies and tv shows to watch. Our flight was 8 hours to Dubai where we were stopping for 3 hours. Dubai airport was massive and we had our first McDonalds of the whole trip there!!!!!!! We boarded our flight to Thailand at around 3.15am and it was 6 hours to Bangkok.
Thats is it for SA and our flight so I will let Dal tell you all about Thailand so far.
Thank you to everyone for your messages it is really nice to get them. We will try and reply to everyone as much as we can.
Love you all xxxxxxxxxx
