Ok, every time I get round to doing one of these I'm completely knackered. During the day I think of good things to put in the blog and then as the day wears on I forget it all.
So the day started with a trip back to (my current favourite place in the world) the Sacre Coeur before heading towards the Champs-Elysees and Arc De Triomphe. The Arc, situated on a roundabout, is pretty impressive with all its decor and sculptures. The Champs-Elysees is a pretty long road which reminded me of Oxford Street, Regents Street and Bond Street combined. The Virgin, Adidas and PSG stores were pretty awesome but otherwise this is a road for those with some extra cash and shopping as a hobby.
I then headed west along the Siene, away from the Eiffel Tower, and came across a statue of Liberty replica. From what I saw today the west of Paris is far more run down compared to the touristy east. The opposite to London.
I then got the Metro back to the hostel before heading out to a pub to watch the Barcelona vs AC Milan game. A few pints here made me want to keep the night going but nothing was happing so I just headed back to the Sacre Coeur (yes, I love that place) to sober up in front of the Paris skyline.
Tomorrow I head off to Amsterdam where the quality and frequency of this blog might decrease! Oh, and I plan to watch Chelsea vs Benfica in the hostel's "world famous" sports bar. COME ON THE CHELS!
