This morning we headed to the Banff information centre to ask about some good hikes for today. We followed the ranger's suggestion and headed to the very popular hike up Tunnel Mountain. It was a little steep in places and got us breathing hard and reminded us a little of the Grand Canyon trail. The summit offers a lovely view of the Banff town centre and surrounding mountains.
After lunch we went for a drive around some the areas surrounding the centre of Banff and then drove over to Lake Minnewanka area. We found a nice walk around Lake Johnson which was very pretty and pleasant.
Back at the hotel domestic concerns like laundry were taken care of and then we headed out for dinner to a Korean Barbeque restaurant. We went to this restaurant the last time we visited Banff four years ago and we had good memories of it. Happily our memories were accurate and we had a great meal.
