Today we left nice and early to head towards our final destination in Italy. It took a few hours to get there and I was over-joyed to enter Rome at last. It wasn't what I expected either but it was still amazing to see what it was like. We stayed in an apartment on a street called Angelica street, our apartment was on the second floor and I was so glad that it had air-conditioning. It wasn't a well supplied apartment though, with no soap, hand towels, toilet paper etc.
After a rest and reading about Rome we left to go visit the Vatican. It was amazing and I loved looking at all the different pictures of the old Pope that were put up. We didn't go into the church because we weren't dressed for the occasion but we did visit the Museum of Giovanni Paolo. I loved that museum, I thought he looked like a very intelligent and nice man. I couldn't stop thinking about him and how he got shot, who would do such a thing!?
After looking around the Vatican a little bit we went looking for a restaurant. We ended up at a restaurant that was doing a special deal thing. Dad, Alicia and I had ........... and Mum and Thomas had lasagna. It was very yummy!
