We arrived back in Karratha, did some shopping, bought some mask and snorkels for snorkelling down at Ningaloo. Had a lazy afternoon back at Jane and Roberts house. After they arrived home from work we went up to the TV lookout and watched the sun set, enjoyed a couple of drinks and cooked up some homemade pizzas. Brilliant views, the colours as the sunset and then all the city lights.
The next day we went on the Rio Tinto Pilbara Resources Tour. Our guide Robyn gave a great commentary as we went through the Dampier Salt mine, Parker Point, East Intercourse Island and back to the Red Dog Statue. Neither of us had long sleeved, collared shirts, so the information centre lends you some for the tour. Alan became Richie and Lorelle became Jill for the morning. The tour went for 3 1/4 hours and at $49.95 was a great tour and is highly recommended.
