We had a look at Krys the croc before we left for Karumba. A very large statue of him is in Normanton. and everyone visits him here. There's quite a story to him.
Pat and I went up to Karumba on Sunday as there are markets on nearly every week. Plenty of home made gear which is great to see as many of the items in the markets these days are bought then resold on market day.
Anyone who knows me knows I cannot go past makeup or nail polish without seriously looking at everything, and as usual I bought something. Two really lovely new shades of nail polish.
We had lunch at the tavern after we toured Karumba. We even took a drive through the wet lands, which are slowly disappearing.
Pat is here to fix the flood damage from 2 years ago but because of a light wet season last year they are now in drought and may not have enough water to finish. Just crazy.
It is strange having revolving neighbours here in the caravan park. Someone I was talking to the day before yesterday has now gone today and this is a constant thing. I was told "if you don't like your neighbours wait two days and the problems solved" and it is so true.
It was great hearing from Megan and Rejoice the other day as I do miss everyone. I enjoyed working with them, so I am not supprised that I really miss everyone, sometimes even the tantrums.
