Well here I am taking a little vacation in a very expensive resort (not) .
I have somehow picked up an infection in my leg and have been hospitalized in Bundaberg Friendlies Hospital.
They are watching it closely and hitting me with intravenous antibiotics. As I am a diabetic it seems they will monitor it closely. 10 days in hospital can drive a person crazy. I was lucky to have a great room mate and great staff that kept me entertained.
Such a diverse range of personalities in the staff. Eidsvold has a great doctor, it isn't everyday that you get one with great skills but with a personality that is easy and uncomplicated as well. Even if he is making jokes at my expense :>
The day I got out, the vein in my hand decided that the last lot of fluid was not going into the vein but into the tissues instead. Have you ever seen a rubber glove that has been blown up like a balloon? Well that was my hand when I left hospital. It is not harmful but it took 24 hours for the body to absorb the fluid. Just as well Khara was there to drive me home. Murphy's Law strikes.
What are the odds that I would get a phone call about a new job interview while in hospital? Well I am lucky that they were still interested after I got out.
