First full day in Krakow today so doing a walking orientation.
Alan to nearby shop to get some basic provisions and then cooked breakfast in the apartment. Ended up having a bit of a lazy morning then headed out and walked the Royal Route through the old town gate and down to the main Market Square. Cobbled streets, no traffic and some magnificent buildings. Through the massive square and to the other end of town past the Wawel Castle into the Jewish Quarter and excellent casual lunch at an organic cafe. The Jewish Quarter has so much character and we will explore it more later in the week.
Retraced our steps sort of, V & T in the square, back to the apartment for a break then to dinner at Chata a traditional polish hut restaurant near the apartment - great food and amazingly cheap.
Krakow is so different to Budapest and amazing in its own way
