More grand canal gazing this morning but we did at least get out and try to get ourselves lost in parts of Venice we hadn't been to. Succeeded to some degree but kept finding things we knew - decided to turn left if the tourists turned right and that led us to some new areas instead of to San Marco and Rialto all the time.
Salad lunch back near the apartment, an afternoon nap next to the lapping water and some iPad time catching up with news etc
Dinner at our local and met a couple from Baltimore USA then drinks with them at the local bar
Last day today and to be honest we probably stayed a day too long because we are hanging out for some space and greenery because while Venice is amazing and our apartment on the Grand Canal idyllic it is very much buildings and water and there is no sense of space. So Wales will be very welcome once we fly to Heathrow and negotiate the hire car to get there by late tomorrow
