Spent the morning lazing around on the deck again and why not?
Around lunch headed off to go to Murano. Bought a couple of wraps for lunch and sat on steps in a square to eat them in the shade (quite warm here near 30). As Alan was finishing his wrap a very well dressed older woman stopped less than a metre away with her back to him and let rip with a loud, longish fart - somehow the rest of the wrap didn't quite taste the same.
Anyhow after this unplanned aspect of a day in Venice we walked to St Marks square then onto catch a boat to Murano. Wandered around Murano looking in glassware shops, watched a glass making demo and walked along the main canal (Alan on the water of course and Virginia on the pathway alongside). Virginia bought some glassware then we caught the boat back to San Marco.
Decided then to catch the boat which goes the length of the Grand Canal and then got off at the stop (S Angelo) right near our apartment
Dinner at our local Osteria again
Quite an eventful day
