We arrived yesterday afternoon after a reasonably uneventful flight, despite a disgusting meal at Doha of curly fries and a chicken sandwich that somehow cost us $27 Australian Dollars. We were at Doha at 6 oclock in the morning and it was already 34 degrees.
At Martin & Elizabeth's (Luke's Great Aunt & Uncle) we have our own room with a tv, a computer next door, and a front door key so we can do whatever we want. They have been great, letting us do our own thing, and cooking for us.
There are so many awesome parks around, with duck-filled ponds and and lovely trees. The atmosphere really affected us, so much that whilst having ice creams on a bench, we had a moment. We hope we put this behind us for the rest of the trip.
Pubs are more common than good looking girls at this stage, which is both upsetting and thirst-quenching. Bookmakers (Ladbrokes & Betfair) also are prevalent which could be our downfall.
