Cannot believe it is sunday again how the weeks fly here. Dry crisp day but dark by 430 pm put the clocks back last night, David drew the short straw and had to work a 13hr night as a lone worker, back on nights again tonight.
Dad and Angela came round they are going to stay the night here the weekend of 20th David and Jack away on stag weekend and I'm going to Stroud Kent to a surprise 50th birthday party, can't put Fudge in kennels 2 weekends trogether

I have just realised that it is ages since I read your blogs, and have done so. I could only get a few of the temples one but everything looked so interesting. We are hearing of Typhoid and Cholera in Haiti at the moment and I wondered just how safe is the river the children are all playing in? Here the fine weather has broken and it is warmer but drizzly- fairly typical in fact. I have been busy making costumes for the CADS play at the end of November but otherwise have been failry lethargic.
It all seems to have whizzed past and I cannot believe you are talking about leaving next week. The scarf looks lovely but when do we get a preview of the wedding outfit? Take care and see you soon!

Hi Jenny, have just spent a whole hour viewing photos and reading blogs etc. What a marvellous resource, thanks for allowing me access. I'm having a few relaxing days, walking Jess on the beach, looking after Daisy while Jen and Gareth celebrate wedding anniversary, shopping and reading. Alll got to stop tomorrrow when it's back to work! The problem with being a new head is that you can't fit it all in and have to spend time in school during hols! The autumnal look has definately arrived, lots of walnuts this year and I've made 21 jars of plum jam!! Clocks go back on Saturday so winter is just roind the corner. Take care, lots of love, Lindsayxx

Dry and sunny autumnal day but heavy frosts the last couple of mornings had to scrape the windscreen, drove to the wedding venue today today just to plan what time we need to leave home on the 27th, 40minute drive from our house.
Jack has been down to london for the weekend with one of his uni friends, then I had a phone call to ask if I could go to wolverhampton to fetch him as the tracks having maintainance BR running coaches to telford then trains again to Shrewsbury very long winded.
The coldest week so far and we had no heating as just had new central heating boiler (Combi boiler) 3 days work hopefully this should be more cost effective got rid of all of the water tanks in the loft
Work very depressing at the moment, new chief ex. in post and big changes on the way, possibly including maternity on the move, as the building needs a lot of money spending on it, no spare cash to rebuild it looks like telford is a possiblity, unsure it will be whilst i am still working but could be as soon as 3 years.
Managed another 10 mile bike ride can only fit 1 in a week, weight loss now static but lost over a stone so pleased with this, can't afford to put any on before the wedding as the outfit will not fit.
Just booked tickets to go to the Severn Theatre on tuesday to see Dreamboats and Petticoats has been on in the west end, last week went to the Grand theatre in Wolverhamptoin to see Chess excellent production, its imprtant to support the local theatres but it is not cheap.
The wedding next week should be fascinating and very different to uk ones will be intersting to see the photos
Well nearly time for work again how the weeks fly by, hope you have a good week without to many floods
Take care
Janet

oops hadn't quite finished must have pushed a wrong button. Meant to say that Ants leaves Wed.
So I shall be on standby for childminding for the week. Perry will be at home most of the time but just needs a backup.
I had a call from Chantae the other day and have invited her and her mum (got to- otherwise how would she get here?) down for fireworks night, they always put on a good show in the village. Kim said that Chantae has never seen a firework display so I hope she enjoys it and isn't put off by the noise. Lucy and Harvey are chuffed that she will be here.
Cold today but sunny, lovely when you're in the warm, more cold on the way they tell us. It's going to be a shock to your system when you get back!
Take care and mind those potholes x

Had a great couple of days in sunny Cuxton Jenny. There were loads of japonica quince this year so have tried my hand at quince jelly and membrillo (paste made from the pulp). It tastes beautiful, a little tart and reminds me of gooseberries, but hey it's all free and I'm very pleased with the result. I tried adding some cardomom to a little of the jelly as an experiment, lovely!
Victoria and her family have been spending some time with her dad at his time share in Wales and she has gone back to France with him and Heather till Thursday. Anthony is leaving after work and is hoping to catch V before she leaves. He'll be there till Sunday. They want to spend as much time with him as they can, don't think there's much of it left. Sad.

Just back from Cranbrook for another gourmet meal- lovely as usual. Another frost as we walked this morning but the sun has shone all day and it has been wonderful if a little cold. Half term here so I hope the weather remains good. The Cricketer's Inn has been gutted and is about to become a restaurant as well as returning to its original name much to everyone's relief.
Viewed your latest blog and photos with interest and can't wait to see the outfit. I'm sure it will be O.K.- at least it will be exotic! I can't believe that so much time has passed and it is time to try your car and charge its batteries in readiness. Enjoy the last weeks and speak to you soon

Fabulous day, sunny and clear but cold. Took Belle out to Shorne woods for chestnuts this morning- all large and glossy and so we plan an open fire tonight and toasted chestnuts. Wearing gloves on our early morning walks now. All animals are fine, but sleeping inside most of the time now. Art group holiday planned for next year- to Southwold! So popular I had to hire two houses as we needed four extra rooms. Party went very well on Saturday and everyone fell for Belle. She on the other hand only wanted to get to her bed and someone was always sitting in her place!
I am just about to take her over the hills for her afternoon walk. A very lazy day for us. I enjoy reading about your life and activities and the photos are amazing. What has happened to the dog in your early photos? Take care and keep up the news broadcasts

Hi Jennifer
Dad and Angela round just been lookong at your latest photo's, fascinated by the size of the tree trunks and how they weave around the stonework of the buildings.
Weather here dry again no real rain storms for the last couple of weeks obviously you have had our share, weather again cold in the mornings but warm during the day, going to drop down to 1degree on tuesday.
Been out on the bike again today for about 10miles not as far as you probably do each day.
Dad/Angela has been for a walk in Shawbury wood this afternoon going to Llandudno on tuesday for 3 nights.
Brandy nearly died on friday night Vet said she would have lived another 30 minutes if she had not had emergency surgery, stomach twisted had to have a laporotomy and had stomach sewn to side to prevent it happening again, saw photo of her last night looking very pathetic.
Jack starts is new position on the 1st of November so will accrue annual leave and a pay rise, not bad since he started in the kitchens, all the girls in the office love working with him.
Got wedding outfit so all sorted now so no more to do.
