We are both gutted to be leaving Cambodia as it was such a wonderful place,.. last night we had a farewell leaving meal then headed for the rooftops for the highest bar in Cambodia, only 4 stories as there is a limit but still, the fact remains.... Had a great night and great time in Cambodia. Lots of culture and a fantastic nightlife, especially New Year's Eve... Majority of the food was great, a few meals were a little rubbish but we coped!.... Anyway today was an actual nightmare, worst road journey ever!....... I mean, tight space, no air con and a crazy driver who one second is flooring it and the next he is slamming on the brakes!.... Both not happy,..... We left the hotel around 8 am and headed to the border, picking up some snacks on the way. It took about 3 hours but we were at the border to Thailand. It took 1 hour to get through immigration,... A real drag!.... Outside too and it was 34 degrees,... And some people have no concept of a queue, which only added to the annoyance. Anyway we met up with out new tour guide for Thailand, who is one of he campest guys I've ever met. He is very funny though and I'm sure he will make the last few days of the tour a great few..... The group separated into two smaller buses which were tiny, had leather seats and no air con!.... And for 4 and a half hours we were stuck there!... Not a pleasant experience...., we approached Bangkok around 6, just as the sun was setting which meant for some incredible landscape imagery... The hotel is right in the centre of old town, which me and Emma never saw last time we were here... So good to see somewhere new!.... The hotel had around 10 classic cars parked outside which I was loving,... Got myself a few photos!..... The hotel is pretty good and the rooms are pretty big, not as good as the last one in Cambodia but this has a city view... Superb!,,.. We are now heading out for some Thai food with our guide, looking forward to some Thai green or yellow curry, yum tings!.....
