Simon's Adventures
After the grime and dirt that comes with camping out in the dust-bowl that is the Aussie outback, the thermal pools of Mataranka have been a welcome break. We just spent one night there, but we spent much of the evening in the warm waters, watching out for any crocs that might take a shine, and trying not to breathe in the smell of the eggy waters.
Bats flew overhead, and galahs screeched in the palm trees around. The moon was full, so it was filled with a really eerie light.
In short, real bliss, until you had to get out!
