We moved onto another bush camp, but this time with the luxuries of drop toilets (never before has the adage 'Don't look down' been so appropriate, unless you want to see what Mrs Jones had for lunch last week!), and we trooped off to go see the Marbles.
The Marbles are these random collections of round(ish) stones, which have been arranged in strange and quite eerie ways. The Aborigines believe that these are the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent, which helped to create Australia, and provide the features that we see today. On a tourist note, they are also a great opportunity to make a series of really cheesy photos, that I can't wait to show you when I get home!
As night fell, we also took the opportunity to go back into the park and sleep on the rock overlooking the marbles (I hope NT Rangers aren't amongst the few that read this!). It was a pretty cool experience to be sleeping amongst these outlandish rock formations, and despite being hard rock, surprisingly comfortable! The angle of the rock meant you felt like you were going to fall off, and I woke up several times in the night. However, during one time, I also quietly watched the moon, the colour of butter, setting below the horizon, which made it all worth it.
