Another good day spent at Emas National Park… with no rheas. They apparently prefer easy pickings in the cornfields across the road. We saw some good birds, including more target species for this area: Cock-tailed Tyrant, a tiny Campo Minor, Toco Toucans, dozens of Peach-fronted Parakeets, and a crazy looking Bare-faced Curassow. The Bird of the Day had to be the lovely Helmeted Manakin; bright velvety red head with large pompadour-like protrusion over its bill...
