Arrived at our hostel - the YHA - which was really quaint and the only timber building left in Noosa. That afternoon we went shopping again! Noosa is really nice - a lot of people holiday there. Me and Amanda were eyeing up the holiday homes with there own little private beaches and boats anchored out front. Arranged a trip to Australia Zoo for the next day - had to get up pretty early to cathc the courtesy bus at 8.30. Arrived at the zoo and hour later and made a beeline for the Koalas and Kangaroos. They were so cute! The Kangaroos were very tame and we were able to get very close and stroke them. We were able to pat the lower back of the koalas - they cant see very well so you would scare them too much if you go near their heads. Also saw Tigers, Wombats, Elephants, Tasmanian Devils, Camels, Crocs, Aligators, Wallabes, Emus, Snakes and Turtles. Went to the Crocosium to watch a bird and croc show. When we arrived the presenters were getting members of the audience to do bird calls as they were planning to release a load of birds so that they could fly freely over the audience. A very colourful cute little bird landed on my bag then one of its mates decided to follow and planted itself right on my head!!! Unfortunately Amanda was laughing to much to get a picture but as you can imagine it was hilarious - lots of other people took pictures as they clearly found it highly amusing. Went to see a Koala show - they sleep for 20 hours a day so the show wasn't exactly energetic but the guy doing the talking was pretty fun and we certainly know a lot about Koalas, their digestive systems and how they feed their babies - with poo! Decided we couldn't leave without pictures of us holding a koala - although ours was a little smelly and wouldn't stop pooing. The photos are very cute though. We would liek to plant gum trees in our garden them we can keep one as a pet. Spent our last morning in Noosa walking round the National Parkwhich was beautiful. Got the bus to Brisbane at lunchtime.
