Arrival! Ciao Spoleto. Everyone on the bus was worried we would get dropped off in the middle of nowhere with a city so small that there is only one gabinetto (toilet) in the entire city. The assumptions were disproven as the bus drove up the steep hilly road and finally made a turn into beautiful Spoleto, Italy. There is a picture of the city before entering it.
The comination of jet lag, no sleep, complete culture shock, and no public transportation across the cd warranted us a very confusing day (four days after that I don't remember anything, it's a complete blur).
We have two meals a day, paid for in the camp price, at a nice hotel called the Il Clittunno. The meals are very simple but simple Italian is super American. I will post an album of every meal I've had (contributed by Allie).
After eating three meals we retired to our rooms located in a convent. The convent is very old but thanks to Mother SaRosa, renovations have been made that have allowed the bi=uilding to stand for over 600 years (I have a video of the convent and my room). My room is very cool so you should check it out.
The other meal of the day that the clittunno does not give is breakfast and this given by the convent' nuns, which are awesome! They serve us a croissant over the weekend and through the weekdays some buns that they have made them self which are as well awesome. Seemingly we call them "NunsBuns," which I'm sure they don't appreciate. : )
All for today. Arrivederci
