Hello from (I'm sad to say...) a very wet Perth, Western Australia!

But I do say....does the rain make us really down in the dumps??Yes of course it does :P (only kidding)!Well we don't even know where to begin other that we quite love it here in Perth and we're making some really good friends!We are now used to the hostel and are enjoying being in a place jam packed full of Irish people....oh how we do like the Irish!

Well since our last blog we have gone on and done a night ghost tour of Freemantle Prison!Now before I tell you about the night....let me just say that this prison is a World Heritage Site (yes...it's up there with the Egypt Pyramids).What a laugh this place was and what an absolute work out for Claire's lungs with all the screams.The prison staff did not have to have people jumping out of cells or having dummies falling from the roofs to scare us....the tension scared everyone enough!Oh and the ghost stories were terrifying....what a night it was!The whole prison was in pitch darkness and we only had tiny little torches and the flashes from the cameras for light.We went through cells, exercise yards, solitary confinement, and the room where they did all the executions....even the morgue!All this in the pitch darkness.... honestly people got very freaked out!My awesome photographer Gillian managed to get some amazing photos of orbs (which if you are like me and my mum and loved Most Haunted at one point....you'll know what they are lol)!It was a brilliant night and one we are going to have to do again!

Now it hasn't all been roughing it here in Australia!We managed to acquire a gorgeous house thanks to the awesome Nicol family and their friend.We got to stay at this house over the weekend of Kyle's birthday party so we had some luxury and the space to get ready....as we girls need all preparation time we can get lol (we even got treated to lovely back massages)!We got all dolled up and went to Kyle's house where his parents popped open the champagne!The stretch hummer we had booked turned out to be 2 limos....but hey we're not complaining.Oh what a night it was....well for Claire anyway who got extremely ill and had to be escorted home (I believe it was not all alcohol related....I was genuinely really ill....and that is my story and I am sticking with it hehe)!Everyone seemed to have a brilliant night and even more brilliant hangovers the next day!This is as clean a version of the night's events anyone is going to hear about haha!P.S. Gillian is pointing out the fact she did not have a hangover, just so you all know...her record is intact.Thanks Gillian for being awesome!

So it is the next day and Kyle's birthday and his lovely parents came and dragged a poor, ill Claire out of bed for breakfast at Hilary's....a gorgeous harbour filled with awesome boats!After some much needed food and quite a few naps later....Claire was healthy again....just!We went out for another birthday party that night (a friend of Kyle's) and went to a Karaoke place and what a laugh it was...absolutely brilliant!

So since then, me and Gillian have been doing our part as tourists....even going on the city sightseeing bus which gave us the tour and history of Perth!And yes dad....a lot of it was built by convicts.The weather has now turned quite rubbish....Kyle does keep reminding us that it is indeed winter!We are back at the hostel where we are enjoying their Australian X Factor nights....tis good here!This weekend we are heading to Rottnest Island for a couple of days of snorkelling and time on the beach, hopefully the weather gets better and then it is off to Sydney on Monday already!Time does fly!
