Hello from St Kilda!

So it has been awhile since our last update and to be honest, even though we are on our travels around the land down under and we should have all these adventures to tell you about....but honestly, we have nothing really to tell you! We thought we would just write a quick blog to tell you that we are still alive.

We said last time we had a birthday night out! Justin, Claire's contiki friend invited us out for dinner and drinks....quite a few drinks actually! It was a good night down in a place called Williamstown, about 45 minutes from where we stay! It was a good night out!

The weather is hotting up and we have spent a few days down at the beach catching some sun, turning from white to not so white! We still love it here in Melbourne. We now have a full flat of 5 girls, 1 English girl Kelly and the 2 Dublin girls Sharron and Janis....they are all lovely girls!

On the job front, Claire has been successful in getting work at a shoe shop...shock horror! Back to selling kid's shoes as well as ladies and gents! To be honest, it isn't too bad! The sizing and the fitting of the shoes are done strangely over here and still a tad confusing....but the kids aren't picky! They only have 4 styles to choose for school shoes and some schools only allow one kind! It is so much easier here! So one week is down and I have 4 more weeks to work...roll on my first pay day! Gillian has also been lucky over the past week. She has had some temp work and had been offered some work from our landlords cleaning apartments. She has also been offered a job in a restaurant! You will see in the next blog what she decides....so stay tuned!

We have now posted pictures of our home and the area around St Kilda so check them out! Please let us know how you are all doing and any gossip from Aberdeen....and yes we know it's been snowing!!!!
