The last few days have been very chill. Very.
I pretty much collapsed into my bed when I got back from the jungle and fell asleep at about 8pm. I feel my stomach illness has now been replaced by a cold, but at least I can eat!
Having done my first drafts, I'm just waiting for what happens next really as everything seems to be going slow. Guessing next week maybe a bit hectic.
Last night, me and fellow intern Charlie (from Kiribati but grew up in Ethiopia) headed to a Barbecue in San Miguel with Rodrigo and his friends. San Miguel is in the south of La Paz, the rich, white part of the city. The flat was on the 22nd floor, had an amazing view of the city and the BBQ was probably the most hi-tech I've ever seen.
We all had a bit too much Singani (a Bolivian spirit). I didn't want to go out + didn't have any ID, so given the taxi costs etc. I ended up crashing on a couch. Woke up very bleary eyed around 7 this morning, and now finally made it back to Sopocachi. Sopocachi is definitely a bit more lively than San Miguel and the south. Its much more central, busier and generally more soulful.
Still, going to be a slow day probably...
Vamos!
