Left Alex's at 6.30 am this morning to start our trip north. Me, Dani & Helena took turns driving the 4x4 behind Alex, Herman and his son Weibe on their motorbikes. Our first stop was the Vert factory, we went inside and had a look around and saw the production lines. It is all very modern and and efficient, the employees seem to have really good working conditions. After a coffee we continued to a city called Thai Nguyen where we stopped for a quick lunch. Soon we were off the main roads and driving up little country lanes through the mountains, the views were magnificent. We arrived at Ba Be national park around 4 in the afternoon, the boys sat and had a beer by the lake whilst the girls and I checked out a few home stays around the lake to spend the night. We found a cute little place overlooking the valley and the lake. After a refreshing swim in the river we retired to the balcony and had some food and a few beers.
