So now I'm essentially living in Sydney I have joined Crosslands Rotaract as a way to make friends and make the most of my time here. With a great group of people I think I have made a great choice.

Today I moved in with my new family in Turramurra. Elke, Max, Kai and Lara. A beautiful family with a European background, Elke is from Germany and Max is from Belgium. It is school holidays , so I have a week to get to know the kids before the school routine sets in. Time to start working!

This morning i went with Pam to a Rotary breakfast, it was lots of fun, there were about 8 women all 60+ chatting and having breakfast. There was one women who's English that travelled to Australia by bus from London to Delhi then flew to Sydney. She went on the most fascinating bus journey, what an adventure. Another lady had been to England for her Son's wedding and needed to buy a hat, in the end she ended up in Harrods found the perfect hat for£2500! Needles...

Today Jenny invited me to come to to races with her, it is the Golden Slipper event, Australia's richest racing day. You have to really dress up to get in, i suppose its a bit like Asscot. So i had to borrow a whole outfit to wear from Jenny, including a head piece! We have member's passes so we head to the members area, a nice touch. This is definately the way to go to the races. There certainly are some rich people here, thats for sure. It was quite an experein...

For a few days i'm heading up into the Blue Mountains with Pam, Tom and 4 of the Rotary Exchange Students, Terry, 2 Dianna's and Anlore. On the way we stop of to view the 3 Sisters, an fascinating collection of 3 rocks in the mountians. We then continue to the Jenolan Cabins which is where we will be staying. The next day we head down to the Jenolan Caves and on the tours into Lucas Cave and Orient Cave. They are the most beautiful caves and the guides are brill...
